Community Corner: DUI Check Point #2 This Friday In LA

LAPD Academy Graduation 

WHAT:          Los Angeles Police Department Recruit Officer Graduation Ceremony for Class 9-11
WHEN:          Friday, Feb. 24, 2012

WHO:             LAPD Chief of Police Charlie Beck
                        Representatives from the Mayor’s Office of the City of Los Angeles         
Representatives from the LAPD Board of Commissioners
                        LAPD Command Staff and Special Guests

WHY: The Los Angeles Police Department will graduate 32 police officers, with 29 males and 3 females.  The ethnic breakdown of the graduates is as follows: 7 Caucasians, 19 Hispanics, two Asians, two African Americans, one American Indian and one Filipino.  Graduating officers have completed 920 hours of training over the course of 24 weeks.
