You know you have a buzz when a lot of different people are recommending to listen to your music. people should be reviewing your music. in other words, those public figures who people in the industry take very serious. For example, getting somebody like Eminem, Jay-z, or Nas to talk about your music. Thirdly, get out there, do a lot of radio and t.v. appearances. Last but not least , you should be doing a lot of performances.
Package your demo professionally. Demo must be recorded well. A well recorded project will put you way ahead of other rappers/singers. include an inlay card and professional pictures. Find and hire a photographer or a good photography student to help you out. For more info on pictures, refer to the other article i wrote about professional musician pictures. Make your introductions shorter. Get your intros down to 20 seconds or less because A & Rs don't have all that time to listen to a real long skit. last on the list is your covering letter. Keep your covering letter as brief as possible. the point is to just show the A & R that you appreciate their willingness to take a look at your demo and to invite him/her to your upcoming performance.
